As the title implies. Done for principals of animation class- the notorious boring bouncing ball! Strangely enough I put a lot of work into this to make it bounce realistically. I was inspired to follow Disney's timing process after the movie we watched.

>>No, really. It was either this or animate in Photoshop. Heck no, Photoshop.

Hmmm
Ive been interested into animating different things lately
and a bouncing ball was actually in my plan.
Its nice to see an example from you!

did you used motion tweens and shape tweens for this?

I only used a motion tween when the ball was sliding along the ground, but I find that using tweens for certain movements looks really weird and that is why I just redraw shapes or copy a previous frame.

Several hours due to redoing parts and adding more and more frames.

How hard is it to animate?

Well, that depends. If you know what your doing then it may not be that difficult, however, the animator needs to understand how things move in real time and that's not easy. I didn't throw a ball for reference, but if this were professional then I'd be forced to redo this again and again until it was right.

3D animation forces the animator to deal with the computer and all its hiccups and issues.

So, respectively, animation is hard if you want to make it believable. But it's easy to make things move like crap.

Don't let me deter you if you want to give it a try. It's just not fun to be forced doing animation work for two separate classes.

I do plan on trying it. I just wanted to know how hard it is.
